Properties worth millions of naira were destroyed following a fire at Ogbomoso Local Government Secretariat in Oyo State on Thursday.
Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the incident in a statement made available to Newslodge on Thursday night.
He said: “On arrival we found the incinerator machine on fire, well lit and we quickly went into action, the fire was reduced and the spread to other nearby buildings and properties was restricted.
“No casualties were reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be established and post-fire investigation is ongoing to determine the root cause of the incident.”
