Three people were killed in an ambush by suspected bandits in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The victims, identified as Tailor Gayu, Zacharia Wudu and James Delle Iwala, were attacked while traveling to Atukpo community, a Koro settlement in Doma, on Monday morning.
According to residents, the trio left their community around 8am to run an errand before being robbed and killed by the attackers, who also stole their motorcycle.
A relative of one of the deceased, Mr. Nathaniel Ajeh, told reporters that their bodies were discovered by farmers when they were on their way to the farm.
He described the killings as tragic and called on security agencies to track down the perpetrators and ensure justice is done. “They left early in the morning, not knowing it would be the last. We are deeply saddened. The government must act quickly to stop these senseless killings,” he said.
The incident occurred barely two days after Governor Abdullahi Sule vowed to clamp down on criminal elements infiltrating Nasarawa State.
