American actress Dasha Nekrasova has been fired by talent agency Gersh and pulled from an upcoming film project following widespread backlash over her recent appearance on a podcast with far-right political figure Nick Fuentes.
Nekrasova, known for her roles in HBO’s Succession and A24’s Materialists, came under intense criticism after a month-old YouTube episode of her Red Scare podcast resurfaced and began circulating around Hollywood this week. The agency confirmed his dismissal on Thursday.
The actress had recently been announced as part of the cast of Iconoclast, a thriller that marks the directorial debut of The Night Agent star Gabriel Basso.
However, Deadline reports that the producers moved quickly to withdraw their offer before the contract was finalized, citing concerns about the podcast’s content.
The two-and-a-half-hour episode, titled “Fuentanyl OD – Nick Fuentes x Red Scare,” features Nekrasova and co-host Anna Khachiyan engaging Fuentes in a wide-ranging conversation that includes multiple controversial and offensive comments.
The discussion references anti-Semitic tropes, stereotypes about various ethnic groups, and inflammatory comments about the Holocaust and immigrants from developing countries.
Fuentes, a leading figure in the far-right “Groyper” movement and widely described by watchdog groups as a white nationalist and Holocaust denier, has long been associated with extreme political positions.
His appearance on the podcast drew immediate condemnation once clips began spreading online.
As the backlash intensified, industry stakeholders distanced themselves from the actress, prompting Gersh to cut ties.
Iconoclast’s producers followed suit, making it clear that they did not want controversy tied to the project.
Attempts to reach Nekrasova or her attorney, Mark A. Gochman, for comment were unsuccessful as of press time.
