Officers of the Bauchi State Police Command arrested 14 suspected dangerous hoodlums from Sara-Suka in a swift operation in Bakaro, Kofar Dumi, Tudun Yarima and Kofar Madaki areas, recovering machetes and sharp knives.
This was revealed by the Command spokesperson, SP Nafiu Habib, in a police bulletin published on Monday.
According to him, the suspects, armed with machetes and knives, terrorized residents, stole phones and cash and caused injuries.
“On January 15, 2026, at around 4:30 pm, a patrol team acted promptly following reports of the activities of hoodlums (‘Yan Sara-Suka) in the Bakaro, Kofar Dumi, Tudun Yarima and Kofar Madaki areas,” he said.
He added that the arrested suspects, aged between 18 and 22, admitted to the crimes during interrogation.
The spokesperson stated that the police team, led by the A Division Police Officer, Bauchi, CSP Hassan A. Musa, arrested the suspects, including Abbati, 20; Mom, 21; Adamu, 22 years old; Khalid, 20 years old; Abubakar, 19 years old; Mahmud, 22 years old; Jabir, 21 years old; and Haruna, 18 years old.
The others are Khalid, 18; Abubakar, 19 years old; Kabiru, 20; Annas, 20; Mr. Mohammed, 19 years old; and Abdulkarim, 22 years old.
SP Habib also conveyed a message from the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, praising public cooperation and urging continued vigilance.
