Bandits invaded Abu-Fadan, Fadan Ninzo Chiefdom, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Saturday night, killing two people and kidnapping two others.

A statement by Aminu A. Abdullahi, secretary of the Fadan Ninzo Traditional Council, said the bandits stormed the community between 8pm and 9pm on Saturday.

The statement identified the abductees as Ezekiel of Gwantu, owner of a private clinic near the residence of the late Abu District Chief, and the wife of the late Abu District Chief, Audu Galadima, also known as Fagachin Ninzo.

The statement said: “The two murdered persons were walking on the road near the clinic when the thugs, who were hiding in a plantation behind the facility, shined a flashlight on them and shot them after asking who was shining the light.”

Abdullahi stated that security personnel quickly arrived at the scene to ensure the restoration of normalcy in the area.

He condemned what he described as an emerging wave of banditry in the chiefdom and urged security agencies to intensify surveillance in the area to arrest those responsible for the barbaric act.

Spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Mansir Hassan, did not respond to calls seeking confirmation of the attack.
