Tragic Electrocution Incident During Flood in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command reported that a 61-year-old man lost his life due to electrocution during a flood.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed this sad event in a message posted on his X handle @benHundeyin on Thursday.

He explained that the tragedy happened on Wednesday while it was raining heavily in Orile-Iganmu.

“During the heavy rain yesterday in Orile-Iganmu, a 61-year-old man was walking through the flood. He touched a street light pole and, unfortunately, got electrocuted,” the spokesperson said.

Hundeyin advised everyone to stay safe.
