On Monday night, bad people took a Navy worker and seven other people in Ibaka, which is in Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
This happened at a place called Classic Point Hotel in Ibaka.
Just a few days earlier, the driver and 18 passengers of a bus going from Uyo to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, were also taken. Nobody knows where they are yet.
The police, through their spokesperson Timfon John, confirmed that these eight people were taken. The police boss, Commissioner Waheed Ayilara, has taken a team to Ibaka to find the people and catch the bad guys.
Timfon John said, “When we heard about this, Commissioner Waheed Ayilara went to the place with a team of security personnel. We believe that with these actions, things will become normal again.”
The Navy in Akwa Ibom have not yet said anything about what happened.
