Four people have been brought to the law in the state of Adamawa for allegedly climbing the roofs of the houses and stealing roofs.
The four suspects: Nestor John, Kemuel Kefas, Bello Abubakar and Geoffrey Yohanna de Numan Town, Numan Lga, have been prosecuted in the chief court of magistrates I in Yola for charges of vandalizing houses belonging to the Numan campus of the Polytechnic of the State of Adamawa.
The Court ordered the return of the suspects “Criminal Conspiracy, theft in the house of the house”, contrary to sections 60, 318 and 276 of the Law of the Criminal Code.
The first information report presented in the Court declared that on several occasions in 2024 and 2025, the defendants conspired and destroyed the properties of the higher institution.
The report listed some of the articles taken by the defendants during their operations, including the armored cable and roof leaves.
He specified that the accused fourth was arrested from the roof of a house while shattereding the property.
The defendants declared themselves guilty of theft and mischief and not guilty of the other positions.
The Court, chaired by Chief Judge Muhammed Njidda, postponed the matter as of September 2, 2025, for the beginning of the trial for those who declared themselves guilty and for listening to the cases of those who denied the accusations.
