Aisha Yesufu Responds to Seun Kuti: A Result of Fela’s Casual Approach to Women

Must Read

A woman who started the Bring Back Our Girls Movement, Aisha Yesufu, talked about a famous Nigerian singer, Seun Kuti. She said he acts because he learned bad habits from his father, Fela.

Aisha spoke about this after Seun said something about her. Seun didn’t agree with Aisha when she talked about women having more freedom in Nigeria. He said she should “free herself from her hijab first.”

Aisha replied to Seun with a lot of posts on her social media account. She said, “Seun Kuti is trying to get attention by using my name because his singing business isn’t making him famous like other musicians.”

She added, “I don’t blame him! If his father had better self-control, we wouldn’t have to deal with the messy stuff we see today.”

She also said, “People only book Seun for shows because they want to see someone pretending to be his father since they can’t see the real Fela anymore.”

For those who don’t know, Seun is the youngest child of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, who was the first to create Afrobeat music.
