The Northeast Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai, OPHK, has, in seven months of operations, killed 438 Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists.
The Theater Commander, OPHK, Sector 1 Northeast, Major General. Abdulsalam Abubakar, who made the announcement on Saturday during the Christmas lunch in Maiduguri, said the operations took place between May and December.
Abubakar said the officers also recovered 254 assorted weapons, 300 units of Starlink communication devices and rescued 366 civilians from various terrorist enclaves.
“The surrender of 881 JAS/ISWAP fighters and their families, among other achievements, further underlines the progress made,” he said.
The army general said the Christmas celebration coincided with dry season operations in the theater.
Abubakar also attributed the successes recorded in the Joint Operations Area to the interventions of the Chief of Army Staff.
