Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar described the death of the party’s southwest vice president, Soji Adagunodo, as “the loss of a patriot and political asset.”

In a condolence message released by his Abuja Media Office on Wednesday, the former vice president described the late Adagunodo as a committed community manager.

He said that Adagunodo, who died at the age of 62 in the United States after a brief illness, was a people-oriented politician, a great parliamentarian and political administrator.

Abubakar sympathized with the PDP family, both nationally and Osun for the sad loss of his illustrious son.

He said that he felt deep sorrow for his in-laws, the Obokun people of Ijeshaland and everyone in Osun, at this time of grief.

The PDP presidential candidate prayed to Almighty God to accept the soul of his beloved brother and comfort his nuclear and extended family, friends and political allies.
