Several people were killed and others injured after bandits attacked communities in Zamfara state, destroying homes and forcing residents to flee for safety.
The attacks occurred on Sunday afternoon in Bardoki community in Gummi Local Government Area and Bunkasau in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of ​​the state.
The development was contained in a post shared on X on Sunday by security analyst Bakatsine.
“This afternoon, bandits attacked Bardoki in Gummi LGA and Bunkasau in Bukkuyum LGA of Zamfara State. The attacks left several people dead and others injured, with houses and properties destroyed. Many residents were forced to flee their communities in search of safety. Civilian members of the JTF who headed towards Bunkasau to respond to the situation also fell into an ambush by bandits,” Bakatsine wrote.

“After the attack on Bardoki, bandits burned down the Ruwan-Kura community, forcing residents to flee. Some are now taking refuge in Daki Takwas, while others have sought safety in Dargaje. These are people who are losing their homes, their loved ones and everything they had built,” Bakatsine said.
