The Commission of Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC, Zonal Directorate of Lagos 2, processed Oluwadahunsola Taiwo on Thursday before Judge OA Okunuga of the Superior Court of the State of Lagos, IKEJA, for alleged fraud worth of N11.2 million.
Taiwo, together with his company, Green Eagles Agribusiness Solution Limited, was taken before court for a position of two positions that borders the obtaining of money under false claims.
According to the judicial documents, the plaintiff, Adopoju Guewu, said he had invested several sums in several agricultural companies promoted by the defendant between February and October 2020. These included an investment of N1.5 million in a planting of vegetables in February 2020, with a promised yield of 30 percent promised every three months, and an investment separately of N1.06 million in a farm in a farm in a farm in a farm 40 percent promised.
IDOWU also declared that N4.9 million committed in the Green Wealth project (1 year tenor) on October 30, 2020, which was announced with an annual yield of 30 percent. According to reports, he invested other N4.9 million in the Green Wealth project (3 -year -old tenor) in similar terms.
It was said that all transactions were made to the solution of agribusiness of the green Águilas limited through the first bank account number 2033169176. However, the petitioner alleged that the company failed to deliver the promised yields, and all efforts to reach Taiwo proved to be abortive.
One of the Charges Reads: “That you, Oluwadajunsola Taiwo, and Green Eagles Agribusiness Solution Limited, Between Februry and October 2020, In Lagos, Within The Jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, Dishonestly converted to Your Own Use an AGGREGATE SUM OF N11,260,000.00 (Eleven Million, Two Hundred and Sixty Thousand Naira), Property of Adepoju Idowu, thus committing a crime of stealing against Section 285 (1) (a) of the Criminal Law of the State of Lagos, 2011. ”
Taiwo declared himself innocent of the charges.
After the declaration, the processing of the lawyer Ra Abdulrasheed requested a trial date and urged the court to remember the defendant in a correctional center waiting for trial.
Judge Okunuga ordered Taiwo's return and postponed the case as of October 23, 2025 to begin the trial.
