Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday says she personally located and facilitated the arrest of the woman who secretly filmed her during a training session at a Lagos gym, a video that went viral and fueled intense body shaming earlier this year.
Speaking on a trending episode of the Honest Brunch Podcast, the actress told how the unauthorized clip sparked public ridicule and how she insisted on holding the culprit accountable after the gym allegedly refused to reveal his identity.
“iFitness hid her information from me. I found her. I had her arrested, of course,” Blessing said, expressing anger at what she described as a serious violation of her privacy.
Before revealing details of the arrest, the actress condemned those who mocked her appearance in the leaked images, defending her natural body and ruling out comparisons with women who had undergone cosmetic surgery.
“You get BBL, you capture me and you get a natural body. Are you stupid, sis?” she said bluntly on the podcast, insisting that she dresses to be comfortable in the gym, not to impress anyone.
“This is who I’ve been. I wear clothes that make me feel comfortable. I’m not trying to hide from anyone,” she added, noting that she wouldn’t aim to look perfect while working out.
The actress became the subject of widespread online discourse after a video secretly captured at the gym circulated on social media, showing her without makeup and visibly exhausted.
Many users contrasted the images with their polished Instagram photos, sparking a wave of body shaming.
