The singer of the Afro-Fusion Gospel Akinade Ibuoye, popularly known as Gaise Baba, has opened about his battle against pornography addiction, despite his commitment to sexual purity before marriage.
In a recent interview with the personality of the media Chude Jideonwo, the singer revealed that although both he and his wife were virgins when they married, he fought with pornography after making a personal vote to refrain from sex to marriage.
“Yes, I married as a virgin. I and my wife. He took me more time, Lord, before finding the way. I was 15 years old when I started seeing bad things. Now, there is something you call Covenant of Pureity. Something you are going into, you will not have s*x, you marry. I only write something. I sign it, I will meet the pastor. I like my purity agreement.
“In fact, it was shortly after I became addicted to P0RN. I knew that under the right temperature and pressure that any man can fall,” he said.
Gaise Baba explained that his early exposition to explicit content played an important role in his addiction, pointing out that self -awareness and responsibility are crucial for anyone who faces similar challenges.

Interestingly, the singer revealed that his rise to fame occurred shortly after a deeply personal loss, for a time that he had actively pursued public recognition.
“This season, everyone talks about starting about two weeks after my mother died. Fame came at a point that he was no longer looking for him,” he said.
His sincere revelations highlight the internal struggles that may be under the surface of the Public Ministry, shedding light on the tension between faith, personal discipline and human vulnerability.
