Israel has associated with Nigeria to promote medical care and innovation, according to Israel's ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman.
Speaking on the 77th anniversary of Israel's independence in Abuja, Freeman highlighted the friendship of more than 60 years of friendship and knowledge and experience in areas such as agriculture, technology, cyber security, health and education.
He said that Israel has been a good friend of Nigeria for more than 60 years and added that Israel in association with the Nigerian government would soon launch a fourth IFAIR cohort for young and young Nigerian businessmen and innovatives.
The interim national coordinator of Christian United for Israel (CUFI), the evangelist Mati Acka took advantage of journalists in Makurdi of the activities held in Abuja on Wednesday.
In the speech pronounced on the occasion by the Israeli ambassador, he explained that the first three versions of the program (IFAIR) succeeded, since they have provided tutoring to the young Nigerians and all the necessary tools to bring their ideas from the theory to practice.
According to him, “many IFAIR graduates now have growing businesses, employ other Nigerians and are contributing to economic growth in this country.
“That is why I am particularly excited that we will soon launch a fourth Ifair cohort, and this time in association with the Nigerian government, a call will be issued for applications in the next few days.
“Beyond Ifair, I am also excited that in the coming months we will open an innovation center in Lagos, based on the Innovation Center here in Abuja, that if you have not yet visited, I encourage you to do it.”
The Israeli ambassador also announced Israeli's intention to work with federal and state governments to implement the relevant and practical technology of Israeli agriculture, water and climate change in Nigeria.
He added: “In the field of medicine, Israel is working to increase the capacity and experience in the Nigerian medical care sector.
“We have established a successful association in pancreatic and biliary medicine and in the coming months will expand our relationship with spinal and optical experience.
“I am convinced that these initiatives, together with our continuous commitment with strong bilateral relations, will guarantee a brighter future for all our children and grandchildren.”
Speaking about the war between the state of Israel and the Hamnans in Gaza, the ambassador gave reasons why the state of Israel is operating in Gaza, and added that Israel never wanted war but peace.
According to Freeman, “I want to take this occasion to remind us all here, and remember everyone: Israel never wanted and never chose this horrible war. Not this war, and not any of the wars we have fought.
“All we have always wanted is to return to Zion, return to our former homeland, build a flourishing state, build a Jewish and democratic state. To build a life. To build a future. To have hope. We have only dreamed of peace, with all our neighbors and with all the nations of the world. And we will never stop pressuring for that vision.
“However, if our enemies, led by Iran, threaten to destroy ourselves, we will do everything we need to defend our people. Let's be clear. If tomorrow Hamas would harass his arms, the war in Gaza would end.
“If Israel left our arms, Hamas and others backed by Iran would erase Israel from the face of the Earth. Today 59 hostages remain in captivity: hungry, beaten and tortured in the terrorist tunnels of Gaza.”
He added: “And that is why we continue to operate in Gaza, to take them home and make sure that Hamas can never carry out such atrocities. But together with the tragedy and terror, Israel and Israelis have shown an incredible resilience.”
In his congratulation message on behalf of the Executive Secretary of Christian United for Israel, Rev. Dr. Samson Ozovehehe, the national interim national coordinator, CUFI, Evangelist, the honorable Mati ACKA, congratulated and blessed the people and land of Israel at 77.
The clergy described Israel as a source of the Christian faith, adding: “Cufi Nigeria celebrates and prays to the God of Israel continuously to give you the resounding victory in the name of Jesus.
Rev Ozovehehe said in Hebrew language “Achekul Nu Israel Ivatar”, until all Israel is saved. Ivatar Cupi, Nigeria is with you. “
