The state command of Lagos of the Police Nigeria arrested a 25 -year -old man, Samson Oghenebreme, in the Odomola community of EPE for being in possession of human organs.
The man was arrested by men of the Odo-Noforija Police Division after a notice of vigilant members of the community, according to Channels Television.
The community alerted the police about the suspicious movements of the suspect.
According to the police, the suspect allegedly transferred the human parts to the state of Edo to deliver them to a native doctor for use in suspects rituals that make money.
Benjamin Hundayin, the spokesman for the Lagos Command, announced this in a statement on Friday.
The recovered human organs have been deposited at the General Hospital, EPE, for preservation.
Meanwhile, the case has been transferred to the EDO State Police Command for the continuation of investigation and prosecution.
However, Lagos State Police Commissioner Olohundare Jimoh assured the public that the command is still completely committed to guaranteeing the safety of lives and property throughout the state.
