According to reports, three people lost their lives in a multiple accident in the state of Edo on the weekend.
Daily Post gathered that the accident occurred on the Auchi -Okpella -Okene highway, by the Omega Fire Ministry in the Local Government of Auchi, Etsako West.
It was learned that the accident involved a Dangote truck and three other vehicles, including a Mercedes Gk.
It was said that the Mercedes glk had been damaged outside the repair.
The truck, which was heading towards Benin, got into the three vehicles, killed three people and wounding one in the place.
The deceased were identified as two men and a woman.
The commander of the state sector EDO of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Cyril Mathew, who confirmed the incident, attributed it to the brake failure.
Mathew said: “The truck had a brake failure, and in the process, he got into three vehicles, killing three people and hurting one.”
According to him: “Six people were involved in the accident, three died, including two men and one woman, while two others escaped unharmed. Four people were in the Mercedes, three of them died and a wound.”
He called truck drivers to guarantee the proper maintenance of their vehicles and that they are more aware of other road users avoiding excessive speed, so when mechanical problems arise, vehicles can be more easily controlled to safety.
