The artist Gospel, Sylars Akhigbe, also known as Sanctified Sylars, has revealed that his song entitled “Oh Nigeria” was to address the evils in the country.
Sylars said he wrote the song in 2019 to impact society as a patriotic citizen.
He said that calls were made about the Nigerian government to do everything necessary to give the Nigerians a better life.
The artist remembered playing the guitar, piano and, consequently, discovered his musical talent.
Akhigbe explained that his passion for music was extracted from his experience about life.
“Everyone has different ways about how they stumbled with their professional career.
“I started playing the guitar. From there, I moved to the piano before discovering that I could sing. And I began to sing from there. Consequently, I became a musical director.
“My passion is extracted from the experience about life and how I see that things develop.
“My first musical project was in 2019 entitled Oh Nigeria. It was basically addressed to the country's evils. I used my platform to ask the government to put action to address the evils of society,” he said.
