According to the reports, the last year students of Gyutiev Model College, Saghev Ward, local government area of GEMA, state of Benue, have set fire to the residence of its director, Mr. Isaac Yina.
The incident, according to reports, occurred in the early hours of Friday.
The students alleged that the director could not register them for the Nonus examination of the National Council of Exams 2025, despite having collected N85,000 from each of the 178 students.
When he was contacted by Daily Post, the Public Relations officer of the State Police Command of Benue, Udeme Edet, declared that he had not yet received the report.
She, however, assured our correspondent that “when I find out, I will let you know.”
Meanwhile, the local government area of GEMA has recently been in the news after a deadly attack against the Yelwata community, which left more than 200 people dead.
