The Commander of the Kaduna State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, CC Panam Musa Buba, said personnel of the corps have arrested three suspected vandals of critical national infrastructure and assets within the state.
He stated that the arrest followed intelligence operations carried out by operatives of the command across the state, adding that the suspects were detained while trying to dispose of vandalized electrical components belonging to the Kauru General Hospital in Pambegua.
BUBA, who disclosed this to journalists at the NSCDC State Headquarters in Kaduna on Friday, October 17, 2025, identified the suspects as Sani Adamu, 18, Abdulrahaman Isiya, 18, and Isma’il Musa, 20.
According to him, the items recovered from the suspects include the casing of an electrical generator, a bunch of damaged copper cables, among others.
Similarly, the command’s Special Response Team intercepted vandals targeting a telecommunications mast used for the rural telephone program at the Kaduna Switching Centre.
“However, the vandals fled when the NSCDC staff recovered the vandalized mast,” he said.
The NSCDC commander, while condemning the criminal acts, described them as “deliberate sabotage against national development and the well-being of citizens.”
