Police arrest the alleged kidnapper with N5M rescue in Delta

The agents of the Delta State Police command arrested an alleged kidnapper, Sanusi Abdulahi, in possession of the sum of N5 million, which is part of the rescue collected from one of its victims.

Delta Police Command spokesman Bright Edafe revealed this in a statement available for journalists.

Abdulahi was arrested on July 12, 2025 at approximately 0630 hours, according to Edafe.

Police also arrested four other members of the Abdullahi gang.

“Preliminary research revealed that they were allegedly responsible for a series of kidnappings in Ibusa, Ogwashi-Ukwu, Obulu-Okiti, Isele-Ukwu, Isele-Assagba and, more recently, the kidnapping of a young woman in Ogwashi-Rekwu on July 9, 2025.

“The suspect led the agents to his hiding place in the second deputy and Oko in Asaba, where four other members of his gang were also arrested,” said the police spokesman.

EDAFE added that additional research is ongoing.
