Officers of the Kwara State Police Command rescued a kidnap victim, identified as Haruna Ahamadu, at Omu-Aran Forest in Irepodun Local Government Area of ​​the state.
The rescue operation was carried out by a combined team of police officers and vigilantes who acted on credible intelligence.

Two suspects, Ayisa Ibrahim (female) and Yakubu Hassan (male), are currently in custody, while efforts are underway to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang, according to a statement by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire Adeyemi, in Ilorin on Thursday.

The Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, commended the professionalism and dedication of the officers involved in the operation and assured the public that the command remains fully committed to dismantling criminal networks and ensuring the safety of all residents.
He also reiterated that investigations are advancing steadily and that promising leads are already being followed.
