Ric Hassani has praised the musical skill of portable, describing the sensation of the street as “very good musically” and “incredible”, despite its often controversial public personality.
In an interview with Hip TV, Hassani revealed that Portable was the easiest collaborator of his new album, Lagos Lover Boy, impressively delivering his verse in an hour.
“I have a portable in the album, and by the way, he was the easiest to work for all these people I just mentioned. He sent it to me in an hour, very easy to work,” said Hassani.
He praised portable raw talent, saying that he has always seen beyond the singer's pranks to recognize his artistic depth.
“The laptop is very good … I have known how good it is musically. I have been able to see through all those [controversies]. It is almost like the Nigerian idol, however, someone shows up, I can say if the person can sing or really it is this musical life. “
Hassani expressed his emotion for his collaboration and predicted that fans would appreciate the track.
“Portable is incredible, I tell you. Musically, absolutely. And I knew we were going to do something incredible. Absolutely fantastic.”
The song that presents portable is part of the Lagos Loving Child, Hassani's last work body that combines the sounds of Soul, Afropop and Street to capture the emotional and cultural rhythms of life in the most vibrant city in Nigeria.
