Nollywood took center stage on Saturday as Netflix hosted its much-awaited annual celebration, Lights, Camera…Naija!

The title of the event, a play on the classic 'Lights, Camera, Action!' ', was a nod to the growing influence of the Nigerian film industry and the creative energy that fuels it.

It was an unforgettable night dedicated to honoring industry pioneers and stakeholders. Attendees included Femi Adebayo, Shaffy Bello, Dakore Egbuson, Ramsey Nouah, Kate Henshaw and almost anyone important in Nollywood.

The event was a brilliant display of the essence of Nollywood, fusing the magic of cinema with spectacular fashion moments.

Guests came in a wide range of cabaret-chic attire, from sequin dresses to daring tailored suits, adding a vibrant touch to the event. They were welcomed by the host of the evening, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who enthralled the audience with his insightful remarks.

This year, Netflix celebrated the pioneers, the professionals who built the first versions of Nollywood; the pillars, the off-field talent; and the players, the talent on screen that delights and excites the public.

The Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, was also present at the event, demonstrating the government's strong support for the creative industry. It was well received by Ben Amadasun, Netflix's vice president of content for the Middle East and Africa.

It was an exciting night with live performances from musical sensations Victony and Sharpband. This year’s edition of Lights, Camera…Naija! It was a dazzling celebration of creativity, art and community within Nollywood.
