Singer Chike Claims Apple Music Nigeria Chart Is Manipulated

Must Read

Chike, a popular singer, believes that the Apple Music Nigeria charts are not fair and honest.

He thinks that the lists of songs in the Top 10 and Top 20 are often changed in a wrong way.

But he also said there are some times when they are correct.

In a talk on ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask,’ a show with Bae U Barbie, Chike explained how things work. He said that if he wanted his music to be at the top of the Apple Music chart, his team could pay to have more people listen to it.

“The Top 10 and Top 20 on Apple Music are often not real,” he mentioned.

“But maybe it’s not really cheating,” he thought. “People might just be trying different ways to make their music popular. There are so many songs out there, so you need to help people find yours.

“If I want my song in the Top 10 now, I can ask my team, ‘Let’s spend $30,000 to make it happen.’ Then my song will be in the Top 10, but it wouldn’t be real. Many people do this, but I guess some don’t. It just happens often. I wouldn’t want to pay lots of money to fight against others who have even more money than me.”
