A 28 -year -old man, Olanrewaju Ogunyemi, has been horrible murdered by alleged cultists in the area of Ilasamaja of the state of Lagos.
According to reports, the tragic incident took place around 7:45 pm on Wednesday, May 21.

The sources revealed that the gang initially went to the brother's residence, but not locating it, they went to a workshop on Abeokuta Street, where it was said that Olanrewaju watched.
The eye witnesses said the attackers descended on it without hesitation, unleashing machete blows that left deep gas in several parts of their body.
“When they arrived at his house and did not meet him, they perceived that he should be in his furniture store. Upon arriving there, they met their younger brother who stayed there and watched the place.
“Without saying a word, they took machetes and began to cut it. They cut their face, back and his hands,” said a resident, who asked not to be named for security reasons.
Another resident, also speaking anonymously, described the consequences as horrible, confirming that the young man died instantly.
According to the reports, the attackers fled before the help could arrive, leaving behind the bloody body of Olanrewaju.
“It was a bloody view. Olanrewaju generally stayed in the store every time his brother was not close. We got to know that they were actually looking for the older brother. The whole community is still in shock. We've never seen anything so violent here,” said another source.
The deceased was buried the next day, on Thursday, while his brother's whereabouts is still unknown.
Confirming the incident, the Public Relations officer of the Police of the State of Lagos, Benjamin Hundyin, said: “Olanrewaju Ogunyemi at age 28 was killed around 7:45 pm in his furniture store.
“A gang of alleged cultists attacked him with machetes on his face, head, back and hand. He died on the spot.”
