The armed bandits broke into the Ogba-Ayo community in the city of Oke -ode, the local government area of Ifelodun of the state of Kwara, killing dozens of residents in a new attack in the area.
The Baale of the community, their two children and the scores were among those killed during the attack that occurred around 0735 hours on Sunday.
Security sources also informed Daily Post that a FEMI doctor (also known as Baba Gold) and two others have been declared disappeared after the attack.
In recent days, bandits have siege some communities in Ifelodun LGA, which leads residents who leave their ancestral homes by safer areas.
The Sunday attack on the OGBA-YY community will come just hours after the State Police Command announced the arrest of three kidnappers on the Babanla-Oreke-Oike -ode axis in a joint operation carried out on September 26, 2025.
The three suspects, Mohammed Abubakar, Hussein of the city of Tsaragi and Tukur Ibrahim, identified as a notorious kidnapper, allegedly participated in Babanla’s invasion on August 8, 2025, according to a news bulletin published by the spokesman of the state policeman of the State Police Command of the State Police, SP Adetoun E E E E ETO.
The efforts to reach the police command spokesman in the Sunday attack against the OGBA-AYO community were not successful at the time of this report.
