Tinubu Ball

The Congress of All Progressives, APC, National Leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu said on Saturday that the blood that runs through his veins is the same blood that runs through all Nigerian veins.

Tinubu, who paid a visit of condolence to Senator Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto) for the death of his daughter, Sadiya Aliyu, called for unity, noting that the country cannot achieve anything without unity.

Recall that former President Olusegun Obasanjo had said that Nigeria is rapidly moving towards a failed and divided country, noting that the mismanagement of diversity and socio-economic development is one of the main reasons behind the country’s ordeal.

His words: “Today, Nigeria is rapidly drifting towards a failed and badly divided state, economically our country is becoming a basket case and the poverty capital of the world, and socially, we are consolidating as an unhealthy and insecure country. .

“And these demonstrations are the product of the recent mismanagement of diversity and the socioeconomic development of our country.

“The old faults that were disappearing have opened in bigger fissures and with drums of hatred, disintegration and separation and accompanying choruses that are heard loud and clear almost everywhere.

“It would seem that anyone who did not dance to the drums or join in the singing of the choir would be classified as ethnically unpatriotic or an enemy of their tribe or geographic area. In short, the country is rapidly approaching the precipice.

“But, happily, I observed that the five socio-cultural political groups gathered here have been coming together to find common ground, areas of agreement or agreement to keep Nigeria from turning upside down.

Before continuing, let me say that we must remind those who are beating the drums of disintegration and singing choruses of bitterness, rage and separation that if even Nigeria is separated, the separated parts will still be neighbors. And they will have to find accommodation as neighbors or they will ever be at war. And those who prevent justice from being done invite violence to reign ”.

Insisting on unity, the former governor of Lagos state opined: “We have to come together to develop our country. The blood that runs through my veins is the same blood that runs through all Nigerian veins.

“Whether I am Yoruba and you are Fulani, Hausa or Igbo, the essence of our life is that we are Nigerians.

“Therefore, we must always live and take Nigeria first in everything we do for the good of our country,” he said.
