The troops under division 7, sector 1 of Operation Hadin Kai have given another blow to Boko Haram, assaulting their strengths in Tangalanga and Bula Marwa, both in the state of Born.
According to the details obtained by Zagazola Makama of military sources familiar with the mission, the operation was executed on Sunday, July 7, after “credible intelligence reports that indicate the presence and activities of the terrorist elements in the general area.”
The troops, acting quickly in the information, first moved to Tangalanga, where they were attacked, but quickly responded, killing two insurgents during the commitment. The team did not stop there.
“After receiving intelligence on the concentration of terrorists within the location,” the Fuentes said, “the team proceeded to Bula Marwa.”
When the soldiers approached the second objective, Bula Marwa, the insurgents fled to the surrounding terrain in an attempt to escape. However, his retirement was not entirely successful.
“An insurgent that fled was neutralized during the persecution, while several special structures within the camp were destroyed,” confirmed a source.
Despite the tense situation and armed confrontation, it is said that the troops completed the mission without registering any victim on their side, a significant moral impulse for the ongoing counterinsurgency efforts in the region.
Retrieved from the operation were key elements, including AK-47 magazines, 90 rounds of 7.62 mm special ammunition and a Boko Haram flag.
