Three men in court for stealing 500 chickens

Three persons, Moses Uker (35), Monday Gambo (32) and Daniel Zakariya (23), have been arraigned before the Ado-Ekiti Magistrate Court, Ekiti State, by the State Police Command, for alleged serious offense of mill robbery.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that on November 19, in Ado-Ekiti, the accused allegedly stole 500 chickens valued at N9,000,000, owned by Falade Solomon.

Inspector Oriyomi said the offense committed is punishable under Section 421, 302 (1) (a) of the Ekiti State Criminal Law, 2021.

The accused’s counsel, Advocate Adunni Olanipekun, urged the court to admit his clients to bail, that they will not jump bail.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted bail of N100,000 with two sureties each of the same sum. One of the guarantors must be the president of your community association.

The case was adjourned to January 30, 2026 for hearing.
