Gunmen believed to be bandits have kidnapped Ambassador Bashir Isa Gusau, North West youth leader of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign organization in Zamfara State.
The incident was made public in a post shared on X on Thursday by security analyst Bakatsine.
According to the publication, more than 30 armed men invaded Gusau’s house in Gusau town and took him away during the attack.
The kidnapping reportedly took place in front of his wife, leaving the family in distress.
Bakatsine revealed that security agencies were immediately informed, but efforts to locate the victim have so far been unsuccessful.
Responding to the incident, the security analyst questioned the persistence of violent attacks in the region and asked how long Zamfara residents would continue to live under the threat of banditry.
“Armed men suspected to be bandits kidnapped Ambassador Bashir Isa Gusau, youth leader of Tinubu/Shettima North West, Zamfara Chapter. More than 30 armed men broke into his house in Gusau and abducted him in front of his wife. Security agencies alerted but there is still no trace.
“How long will these bandit attacks last?” he wrote.
At the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from security authorities regarding the incident.
