The member who represents the circumscription of Igueben in the House of the Edo State Assembly (Edha), Hon. Eugene Inegbeboh, has been nominated by the Popular Democratic Party of the opposition (PDP) as the minority whip.
The nomination of INEGBEBOH as a whip of the Edo Assembly minority is consistent about the recent political realignment of the old minority whip, Yekini Idiaye (Akoko-Edo I), from PDP to the APC.

Excellent Blessing Agbebaku, president of the State Assembly at the Plenary in Benin on Wednesday, read a letter from the president of Edo PDP, Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi, paying attention to the legislator born in Egueben for the WHIP post of the Edo Assembly minority.
This was not without middle drama, since the announcement of the speaker triggered a noisy session when the member who represents the constituency of the northeast of ESAN, love. Addeh Isibor, challenged INEGBOH nomination
Isibor, in his argument, said that Aziegbemi lacks the legitimacy to nominate the Igueben legislator for the position, since his presidency (of Aziegbemi) is discussed in court.
However, the former majority leader but now a minority leader of the Chamber, Hon. The beneficial organization Aiguobarueghian, while counteracting the objection quickly, described Isibor's statement as misleading and without foundation.
This development led to the intervention of the speaker, who declared that the house had no authority on the internal affairs of the parties and urged members to let the problem slide
In another development, the Chamber of the Chamber of the Plenarians approved a bill to establish the Public Association Agency of the State of Edo, with the aim of improving the development of infrastructure throughout the State.
