Why can I drag EFCC to the Court – Very Darkman

Must Read

The popular personality of social networks, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Darkman or VDM, explained why he can take legal actions against the Commission of Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC) after his release from the custody of the Anti-Injustrcy Agency.

MyDarkman, in a video message posted on social networks, revealed that the agency took a picture with its poster, warning that there may be legal actions if the poster image is published on its website or on social networks with an accusation of money laundering.

Tribune Online reports that MyDarkman also revealed that his phone is currently with the EFCC, expressing his concern that the agency could manipulate with its personal documents.

“EFCC, I want us to start a friendship, but what could ruin that friendship is that if you publish the image you took from me and the label as money laundering. If you publish that image, it affirms that it is about laundering money, then you must also release the complete context behind it,” he said.

He insisted that if the EFCC continues to publish the photo with such a statement, it would legally challenge it.

“If I see my photo on your website with a title that suggests a money laundering, you will have to prove it. That's where our problem will begin, and we will solve it in court. It could even become the first case of the open court of this type. If you continue and publish it, it simply means that the image with the alleged claim of money laundering is false,” he threatened.

“If you really want friendship, you eliminate any association of that image with money laundering, because it is a lie against me. I don't care anything more that you have presented, no problem. In fact, I even want to use your poster as my profile picture,” VDM added.

Speaking at the bank, whose facilities it was said that it had been arrested, the influencer accused the bank of sharing misleading content about their situation.

“As for GTBANK, I am explaining what happened. What you did is crazy, I have seen the various images and videos you posted online. Did you think I would not survive or go out? Now I am out, and I have evidence. Your only grace of salvation is if the EFC eliminates those videos. I have the complete material of how everything happened.

While describing EFCC as a “potential future friend,” he reiterated that publishing the image in dispute could permanently damage his relationship.

“EFCC is my potential future friend, but what could ruin that friendship is if that image is released. We will be inside and outside the Court. Yes, you are a great agency, part of the government, but I promise you that I will give you stress. That is just the truth. It will damage your image and integrity. And you will show that what you published online is not the truth,” he warned.
