The 4nollywood Kemisola Apesin actress, popularly known as Kemity, has opened on her journey to single motherhood, revealing the personal experiences that led her to have two children with different parents.

Speaking during an interview in Talk with B, Kemity approached the criticisms he has received over the years, particularly those who question why their children have different parents.

She said many people judge her without understanding the story behind her elections.

“I have two children for two different parents,” he said. “The person for whom I gave birth to my first child was the one who defrost me and that was how I became pregnant. I was about to write my Waec at that time. My mother loved education, so she insisted that all her children should be educated.”

He explained that his mother did not oppose his relationship at that time, but insisted that he first completed his education.

“She agreed that once I had promoted my education, I could marry him. My mother also asked me to learn an exchange and learn catering. I and my dad still had contact, but then traveled to Malaysia,” he said.

According to Kemity, the tragedy came years later when the father of his first child returned to Nigeria.

Kemity revealed that he did not inform anyone, including her, about her arrival and was then killed during a robbery in a hotel.

“When he returned to Nigeria, he was killed in a hotel,” he said. “He spent four years abroad and when he returned, he did not inform anyone, not even I was not aware.

“It was someone who called my mother to inform him about his arrival. It was obvious that they stole him and that was how I became a widow.”

Kemity said many people online make insensitive comments that she has children of different men without knowing the pain and loss she has endured.

“Many people connect saying how I can have two children for two different parents, they don't even know my story.

“No one prays to have children for different parents. That's why I tell people that I am a widow and it wasn't because I was divorced,” he said.

He added that he met his second partner seven years after having his first child. They married in court, but the relationship finally collapsed due to the infidelity of their part.

“We had a wedding in court. When the question of additional marital affairs arose, I already lived with him.

“When I gave birth, he was working at a fuel station, while I took a teaching job.

“When I finished with daily work, I also made additional lessons. I began to notice that I was acting strangely, it was no longer loving.

“He would be in long midnight calls claiming that he was talking to his boss, but he knew it as a woman. You know that we all have our limits and when I got to mine, I said,” he said.
