A Cameroonian actor and comedian known as Pancho Cy International has called on his compatriots to avoid Nigerian artists and their trades, claiming that Nigerians are selfish.

He cited the cool reception Joeboy received recently, noting that the Nigerian music star received no publicity, which made his visit unceremonious. Therefore, he begged his people to give the same treatment to other Nigerian artists when they come to Cameroon.

He states that while Nigerian music is widely played and appreciated in Cameroon, the same cannot be said for Cameroonian music in Nigeria.

“Ask any Nigerian DJ to play any song from Cameroon, all he will play is Awilo Logomba,” he said.

He also noted that when Wizkid visited Cameroon, the presidency gave him a presidential reception, while no artist from Cameroon had enjoyed such a great honor.

However, he was emphatic in his call for a total boycott of Nigerian music, pleading with all Cameroonian DJs, bloggers, media outlets and all those interested in music promotion to reject Nigerian artists and Nigerians.
