The detectives of the State of the State of Lagos have arrested the main suspect in the brutal murder of Jane Okoye, 65, which occurred on April 2, 2025 in the area of ​​Oril Iganmu of Lagos.
According to police spokesman, Benjamin Handeyin, the suspect, Abubakar Iliyasu, entered the victim's house and fled the scene with his Toyota Sienna and his personal belongings. The victim was found unconscious and then died in a medical center.
The case was assigned to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba, where homicide detectives launched a large -scale investigation using technical and intelligence methods. His efforts led to the arrest of Iliyasu in Ankpa, state of Kogi. The stolen vehicle also recovered in good condition.
Currently, Iliyasu is being arrested in SCID, Yaba, and is cooperating with the researchers.
The State Police Commissioner, Olohundare Jimoh, assured the public that the suspect will face the prosecution and reaffirmed the commitment of the command to guarantee security and justice.
