Police arrest at suspicion of ritualist with human organs in lakes

The agents of the Odo-Noforija Police Division have arrested a 25-year-old man, Samson Oghenebreme, in the EPE community, Lagos de Odomola, for illegal possession of human organs.

The arrest, held on April 25, 2025, followed a council of the community members of the community who alerted the authorities about the suspicious movements of the suspect.

The preliminary findings revealed that Oghenebre me supposedly transported the organs from the state of Edo to deliver them to a native doctor for use in suspicions of rituals that make money.

Since then, the parts of the recovered human body have been deposited at the General Hospital of EPE for custody, while the case has been delivered to the EDO State Police command for greater investigation and possible prosecution.

Praising the rapid action of its officers and the surveillance of Odomola residents, the police commissioner of the State of Lagos, Olohundare Jimoh, emphasized the power of timely intelligence to combat crime.

In addition, he urged the lakes to remain alert and inform any suspicious behavior or individuals to the nearest police station without delay.
