Khadijat, a homeless woman who was confused with an alleged kidnapper and lynching, has been buried in the midst of calls to justice.
It was buried on Thursday in Ilorin, the capital of the state of Kwara.
Khadijat, who sold Sachet Water in Ipata Market, was accused of trying to kidnap children in the area before being lynching by a mafia.
The family members demanded justice, insisting that “the deceased was never a kidnapper but an innocent destitute who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

It was supposedly found with multiple ATM cards, as well as in Naira and foreign coins, although the State Police command has not confirmed this.
