The Kano State Police command says that he arrested two alleged car thieves and recovered three stolen vehicles in separate operations.
This is in accordance with a statement signed by Police spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa on Tuesday.
The statement said that on August 18, 2025, a woman from Badawa Quarters reported that her Hyundai Elantra 2011 was stolen from outside a school in Nasarawa Gra, Kano.
The statement added that after the investigation, the car was tracked to Tsaria, state of Kaduna, and recovered on August 23.
According to the statement:
“Arrest of suspects and recovery of the SIENA Bus Automotive vehicle Siena stolen: on August 18, 2025, information was received from a good Samaritan with respect to the theft of a motorized vehicle, the SIENA bus, blue sky blue with the GAK 556 record number of the state of Bauchi.”
“The rapid action of the Patrol of the Police patrol attached to the Wudil Division led to the interception of the vehicle and the arrest of two suspects: Yunusa Muhammad, also known as Yellow ‘M’, 35 years, and Abdulwahab Bala ‘M, 23, all of the state of Bauchi.”
The statement said previously, on August 5, 2025, a resident of Sabon Gari informed that his atmosphere of Pontiac (2006 model) stole from front to his home. Later, the police recovered the vehicle in the state of Adamawa after a notice.
According to the statement, on August 18, 2025, the Police received information about a stolen Siena bus with the Bauchi Registry.
Patrol teams in Wudil intercepted the vehicle and arrested two suspects: Yunusa Muhammad, 35, also known as “yellow”, and Abdulwahab Bala, 23, both from the state of Bauchi.
Police said the suspects will face charges in the Court once the investigations are completed, and the vehicles will be returned to their legitimate owners.
Police Commissioner, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, praised the officers involved and thanked the public for their cooperation.
He encouraged residents to continue informing suspicious activities and provided emergency numbers.
