The agents of the Police headquarters of the Igbeba Division, Ijebu Ode, arrested a Fatai Quadri for violently assaulting and threatening his wife, Rukayat Quadri, in his residence in Illesse-Lebu.

The spokesman for the command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest in a statement made available to journalists in Abekuta on Saturday.
Odutola declared that the victim is currently receiving medical treatment, while the suspect remains in custody and will be accused of courts at the end of investigations.
Meanwhile, the police commissioner, a state command of Ogun, Lanre Ogunlowo, reiterated zero tolerance of the domestic violence and warned that anyone found guilty of such acts will face the entire anger of the law.
He advised the members of the public, especially to the victims of domestic abuse, to immediately report all forms of violence or threats to the nearest police station for immediate action, saying: “Silence only empowers perpetrators, but timely reports ensure protection and justice.”
