The second edition of the All African Festival USA concluded in a vibrant celebration of the African inheritance, leaving a lasting impression to the residents and visitors of Fargo, North Dakota and neighboring parts of Minnesota.
This year’s closing ceremony was an art party, music, dance, literature and African cuisine, offering the public an immersive experience of the rich traditions of the continent. The highlight was the historical and spiritual performance in honor of Sango Olukoso, the powerful Yoruba God of thunder and fire, whose dramatic presentation captivated the crowd.
The festival was organized by ASOWAJU OLASUNKANMI OANREWAJU, Executive Director of Signal Media Links International, a cultural defender based in the United States from Ibadan, Nigeria. Olanrewaju successfully gathered thousands of people to experience the vitality of Yoruba culture and the African community in general.
According to him, “we are delighted to share the wealth of Yoruba culture with the people of Fargo, North Dakota and Minnesota. We believe that cultural exchange is key to building stronger communities, and we are proud to be part of this effort.”
With its combination of glamor and authentic cultural expression, the All African Festival USA continues to provide a powerful platform to exhibit African traditions and encourage intercultural understanding.
The organizers are already looking at the third edition, promising even more opportunities to share the diverse heritage of Africa with the world.
