Armed men have kidnapped a veterinarian, Dr. Ifeanyi Ogbu, along with their three children in Kungakun, a border village between the territory of the Federal Capital (FCT) and the state of Niger.
The attack occurred on Wednesday night around 11:45 pm when the assailants made their way at the doctor’s house through a window and took the children to an unknown place.
Police officers of the Byazhin division, together with the Anti-Kidnapping unit and local guards, rushed to the area after the report was made.
They are currently looking for close forests and hills in an effort to rescue the victims and arrest the attackers.
According to security sources, those who spoke with Zagazola Makama, the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has begun an investigation and has assured residents that each possible step is being taken to guarantee the safe return of the kidnapped doctor and their children.
