The Adamawa State Police Command has begun investigating a violent robbery in Ngurore after a media release from the Command confirmed that point of sale operator Akwarakiram Abel, 25, was seriously injured during an early morning attack.
According to the statement signed by the PPRO, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje for the Commissioner of Police, the incident occurred on Friday between three and four in the morning, when unidentified men armed with dangerous weapons entered the victim’s house at Sabon Pegi, Ngurore, in Yola South.
The attackers were said to have assaulted Abel and robbed him of his belongings.
The statement indicates that the intruders used a machete during the assault, causing injuries that led to the amputation of his hand.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, directed the Criminal Investigation Department to launch a thorough investigation aimed at identifying and arresting those responsible.
He assured residents that the Command remains committed to protecting lives and property across Adamawa and would ensure that justice is served.
