Daughter of veteran Yoruba actor, Taiwo HassanKira Taiwo, popularly known as Ogogo, has accused some people of trying to profit from her father’s battle with stage four cancer.

Kira made the accusation during an emotional TikTok live session on Saturday, where she broke down while talking about the actor’s condition and the financial demands that were allegedly being made by some people offering to help the family.

According to her, some people had approached the family with demands worth millions of naira and thousands of dollars.

“My father is a good father. Some people are even trying to make money from us in this whole situation. They fear God. He will come and bring the solution, N800,000, N5 million, $11,000, $18,000. Do you want to ruin us? We are not billionaires,” he said.

Kira said the family’s priority was to ensure proper treatment for Ogogo, rather than responding to financial demands they could not afford.

He also revealed that the situation had begun to affect his own well-being.

“I want to control my blood pressure, I’m not well either,” he said.

The actor’s daughter also spoke about the emotional impact that Ogogo’s illness had on her brother, whom she referred to as her “older dad.”

He said the family regularly talks about the actor’s health in a group chat and that he recently learned how deeply worried his uncle had become.

“That was the video my big dad watched and in the group chat, where we always talk about dad’s health, I saw my cousin write something like, my big dad was asking, ‘Is Taiye going to die?’” he said.

Kira described the relationship between her father and brother as exceptionally close and said the situation had been difficult for everyone in the family.

“My big dad and my dad, we’re the kids, we don’t even know who they love more. We don’t even know if it’s us or themselves. It’s too much. My big dad loves my dad too much,” she said.

She added that she was worried about her uncle’s emotional state.

“I’m sure big daddy’s not okay, he’s not okay. He’s not okay. I don’t know,” Kira said.

‘I don’t know how I’ll see the world again’

Kira further revealed that she had withdrawn from social media because she found it difficult to see photos of her father while he battles the disease.

She said the situation had left her struggling to imagine life without him.

“I don’t know how I’ll feel. I don’t even know how I’ll see the world again. If something happens to my dad… Please don’t think I’m here to ask for sympathy or anything like that,” she said.

According to her, she initially went online to “calm down,” but became emotional due to her strong bond with the actor.

“I’m so connected to my dad. Nothing can be right, ever. He just wants the best for everyone. He just wants everyone to be okay,” she said.
