Army Arrests Three Suspects for Alleged Possession of Weapon Cache in Delta

Soldiers from Sector 1 of the Joint Task Force Operation Delta Safe have caught three people with weapons.

Major Emmanuel Onoja, the Army’s Assistant Director of Public Relations, shared this news on Friday, September 27, 2024. The three people arrested are Abel Festus, Ramsey Akporoyibo, and Stephen Omah.

They were caught while driving a Lexus RX 350 car with the registration number YAB 347 CQ in the Oghareki community, located in Ethiope West, Delta State.

“The soldiers found many weapons during the operation. They found five pump-action rifles, a Dane gun, a battle axe, and 51 cartridges.

“The three suspects are now in custody for detailed questioning and further investigation,” said the statement.
