The Katsina State Police command said it has frustrated an attempt to kidnapping and rescued four victims, including a baby.
In a statement from the spokesman for the command, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, at approximately 0021 hours, a report was received from an alleged attempt to attack and kidnapping against Mazare Village for a group of alleged bandits in the Sabuwa division.
The reports indicated that the assailants fired and injured two people, Sa'idu Isa, M, 37, and (2) Sa'idu Wa'alam, M, Age 61
“Upon receiving the report, quickly, the DPO mobilized and directed a team of police officers to the scene, where there was a shooting, which led to the successful rescue of the four kidnapped ilo -kidnapped victims when the assailants fled the scene due to a higher fire force.
“The injured victims were immediately transferred to the hospital for immediate medical care, where they receive and responded to treatment,” he said.
According to the statement, efforts are being intensified to guarantee the arrest of suspects as the investigation progresses.
