nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefulepopularly known as Blaqbonez, has revealed how he got his stage name from a friend who was not actively using it.
The rapper made this known during an interview while explaining the story behind the name Blaqbonez.
According to him, the name originally belonged to a friend who loved rap and had given himself the name, despite not pursuing a music career at the time.

Blaqbonez said he approached his friend when they were still in school and asked him to use the name because he liked it.
“I stole it, you know, it was my friend’s name. There was Blaqbonez and he wasn’t using it at all, the guy was into rap, so he got a rap name. He wasn’t even rapping, I wasn’t doing anything with the name. Then one day I just said, bro, you know, they use this name. I like it, and that’s how I started getting Blaqbonez. I swear. He’s not using it for anything. He’s not using it,” he said.
