The Kaduna State Police command has successfully discovered an illegal factory that produces adulterated soybean oil in the Maraba Jos del Estado area.
The raid was carried out by agents of the State Intelligence Department (SID) on May 5, after a warning of an interested source.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Mansir Hassan police spokesman revealed that the factory was located on a plot plot surrounded along Mamadi Road in the area of ​​the local government of Igabi of the state of Kaduna.
He said that three suspects were arrested in the scene: Zailani Shuaibu (33), the owner of the illegal factory; Nasiru Usman (24); and Salisu Usman (49).
During the raid, several articles such as evidence were seized, including two drums that contain suspicions of raw materials, fifteen 25 -liter cans full of unfinished products and two cans of 25 liters of adulterated soybean oil.
These exhibitions will be used in the ongoing investigation and in the judicial procedures.
“The operation led to the discovery of the illegal factory, and we recovered several exhibitions that will be used as evidence in court,” said Hassan, confirming that the police are working diligently to discover the complete scope of the illegal operation.
He added that the case is currently under investigation at Sid headquarters in Kaduna.
The police are focusing on identifying and dismantling the widest network behind this illegal factory and taking all the people involved before justice.
The Kaduna State Police Commissioner, Rabi'u Muhammad, emphasized the commitment of the Safeguarding Public Health Command and ensuring that those involved in criminal activities, particularly those who endanger public security, are responsible.
“The Kaduna State Police command undertakes to protect the public and ensure that those who participate in criminal activities are taken to justice,” he said.
The commissioner also urged the public to remain attentive and report suspicious activities at the nearest police station.
