A 37-year-old man, whose identity is still unknown, has been rescued from a well in Saki, Oyo State.

The man was rescued alive from the well in the Oke-Sebe area of ​​Saki. The incident occurred on Saturday morning.

It was learned that the man received proper medical attention immediately after he was rescued by men of the Oyo State Fire Service.

The Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the incident. He added that the man was rescued alive by his men.

“Upon arriving at 9:29 a.m., officers quickly sprang into action with the necessary rescue equipment and successfully removed the man from the well,” he said.

Newslodge also reported that a residential building in Ogbomoso was devastated by fire on Saturday.

The incident occurred at Main Spring Hospital Street, Secondary School area, Ogbomoso. Our correspondent gathered that properties worth millions of naira were affected during the inferno.

Akinwande also confirmed the incident, adding that no lives were lost.

He said: “On arrival, we found a four-bedroom room engulfed in fire. We quickly swung into action and within minutes extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to the entire building.”
